Montres is an award-winning
promotional content producer and editor with experience in conceptualizing, producing and editing TV trailers for original programming and branded TV spots.
He was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia, and moved to New York City after graduating with a B.A. in Communication Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University. His journey into TV & Film began when he landed his first job as an Edit Room Assistant on A&E’s The First 48, where he was swiftly promoted to an assistant editor and then a long form episodic editor for the acclaimed series. After several years as a reality TV editor, Montres relocated to Los Angeles to pursue film and scripted TV content, when he became an assistant editor on two Sundance films in 2016. (Netflix’s Burning Sands, Roxanne, Roxanne) Following the success of this, he earned a position at HBO, editing promotional content for shows such as Westworld, Chernobyl, Gossip Girl, Room 104 and many others. During his tenure at HBO, Montres has managed campaigns such as Between The World and Me, overseen content created by various creative agencies, directed, produced and edited trailers, teaser spots, and A/V shoot spots. Montres is currently a Senior Writer Producer and Editor at HBO.
In his free time, he is a visual artist and painter. He lives in Harlem, New York with his wife and dog.
